Dedicated to the memory of Ruth

This site is a tribute to Ruth, who was born in Blackburn on September 03, 1985.

Ruth was a passionate teacher. Her dedication and drive to ensure children reached their full potential was astonishing. Children lucky enough to be taught by her were captivated by her lessons and taken on a journey of self-belief, which will last a lifetime. Her space curriculum was recently commended by Tim Peake for inspiring children to be curious and inquisitive learners, who will no doubt go on to achieve big things.

Ruth enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. In the company of her beloved dog, Misty, her husband, family and close group of friends, being beside the sea was her happy place. After moving to Cornwall from Nottingham, Ruth had found her perfect lifestyle and her happily ever after in Falmouth.

Ruth is much loved and will always be remembered by her pupils, colleagues, friends and family.

Ruth had a passion for animals. Her little dog Misty was always by her side and their bond like no other. Ruth rescued Misty 13 years ago after she was badly treated and taken to a dog shelter. Despite being poorly Ruth visited K9 crusaders a local dog rehoming centre in Cornwall and wanted to help support them as Ruth was passionate about providing a home for dogs who are not wanted and badly treated. Ruth would have took them all home if she could. The photos on this page show the joy Ruth and Misty got from being together.
